Adopt a Food Shelf
Rhondda Foodbank is inviting local businesses, churches, schools, and community groups to Adopt a Shelf and help keep essential items in stock all year round.
What adopting a shelf means
- You choose one essential item your organisation will stand behind
(for example: pasta, tinned meat, cereal, toiletries, long-life milk) - That item becomes your product for the year
- Your support ensures it never runs out when families need it
You can help in a way that works for you:
- Donate the item regularly, or
- Give financially and we will purchase it on your behalf
This can be monthly, quarterly, or a one-off annual commitment.
Why it matters
This is more than food on a shelf. It brings:
- Stability for families in crisis
- Dignity for the people we serve
- The ability to plan ahead instead of reacting to shortages
When a shelf is adopted, we know that need is covered.
A visible partnership
- A name plaque on the shelf you support
- Recognition in our updates and social media
- Membership in a network of local partners supporting the Rhondda
